The Litany, a series of invocations for mercy and deliverance addressed to the Trinity, the Virgin and a long list of saints, and the following short prayers (collects) have a multitude of ornamental initials, line fillers and strewn-flower border panels. Like the Calendar, the Litany includes few regional saints that suggest a specific locale, but the last saint listed among the confessors, Donatian, is patron saint of Bruges.
