The Confession prayer Confiteor tibi domine (‘I will confess to you, Lord’), which is not found in any of the manuscripts related to the Macclesfield Psalter, is unusually detailed. It is accompanied by an image of the patron who is shown kneeling in the bas-de-page. The large initial C at the beginning of the prayer has been excised. The prayer has no other ornamental initials, but each folio has a partial bar border.
