Hand C

Artists

Hand C contributed two full-page miniatures (fols. 17v, 20r) and a large historiated initial (fol. 62r). His dense pictorial narrative often resulted in crowded compositions. He followed Hands A and B closely, and shared a palette with Hand B. Yet, his style is dry and linear, and his short figures are devoid of elegance, their exaggerated facial features bordering on the grotesque.
