A 10-year research and restoration project on Sebastiano del Piombo’s (1485–1547) Adoration of the Shepherds c.1510, enables the masterpiece to be redisplayed at the Museum for the first time in 70 years.
The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge have announced the discovery of the youngest ever example of a human foetus to be embalmed and buried in Egyptian society.
This enormous four-piece bronze sculpture has been kindly lent by the Henry Moore Foundation in Hertfordshire.
The Fitzwilliam Museum celebrates its 200th birthday in 2016.
