Making Waves

The Fitzwilliam has a fine collection of marine drawings and watercolours by many of the most prolific seventeenth-century Dutch and Flemish seascape painters. Due to their sensitivity to light, they are not often on display but were the subject of an exhibition held at the Museum from 14 February to 21 May 2017. This online resource highlights many of the drawings and watercolours included within the show, and includes works from the sixteenth through to the nineteenth century.
