A large collection of botanical art was given or bequeathed to the Museum by the 2nd Lord Fairhaven and flower paintings from the 17th to 18th century can be seen hanging in this gallery, including works by George Flegl and Rachael Ruysch.
In addition there are long case clocks, including ones made by the celebrated clockmaker Thomas Tompion and a selection of cabinets ranging from one made by André Charles Boulle to a unique pair of ebony and rosewood cabinets, inlaid with pietre dure (semi-precious stones), and mounted with gilt-bronze; made in Rome about 1625, and acquired for the Museum to celebrate its Bicentenary in 2016
