Clare Simpson appointed as Head of Exhibitions and Major Display Projects at The Fitzwilliam Museum

Today we announce the appointment of Clare Simpson into a new role of Head of Exhibitions and Major Display Projects.

Clare led the delivery of an ambitious exhibitions programme at Dulwich Picture Gallery before joining the Wallace Collection in 2018 as its first Head of Exhibitions and Displays, where she launched the expanded galleries and developed a transformative new offer of major temporary exhibitions and innovative displays.

Speaking about her new role at the Fitzwilliam, Clare said:

‘I am thrilled to be joining the Fitzwilliam Museum at this extraordinary moment of change to help support the future vision of the museum. I look forward to collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders across the museum and university to develop new partnership opportunities and work with the exceptional collection to draw on wider research aims and create memorable exhibition experiences which I hope will continue to excite and engage audiences.’

Clare will begin her work as Head of Exhibitions and Major Display Projects on the 4th April.
