Collage & Drawing Workshop: Dina Negm

Get creative with Egyptian-British artist Dina Negm and bring to life personal landscapes through colour, pattern and found imagery in this hands-on collage and drawing workshop. Inspired by her experience living between Egypt and the UK, Negm’s work explores cultural heritage, home and nostalgia – drawing on Egyptian visual traditions and symbolism.

Immerse yourself in the sounds, perfumes and tastes of ancient Egypt and relax into a moment of stillness and multi-sensory connection amidst the energy of the Museum Late. Sample Egyptian honey and lotus tea, and experience the fragrance of water lilies, frankincense, myrrh and more.

Meet the Curator

Join ‘Made in Ancient Egypt’ Senior Curator Dr Helen Strudwick for an informal talk highlighting key objects from the exhibition. Explore the materials, makers, and meanings behind ancient Egyptian craft practices, and gain insight into the curatorial process, exhibition themes, and ongoing research. The talk will be followed by an audience Q&A.

Lecture Performance - Adham Faramawy: Daughters of the River; In his Oozy Bed
Seminar room I 8 – 8.30pm
Artist Adham Faramawy presents a poetic lecture-performance exploring the romances and toxicities of rivers - from the Thames in London to the Nile in Egypt. Blending spoken word and film, the piece traces imperial histories and ecological crises, drawing on Ancient Egyptian mythology, fiction, and queer desire to explore identity, extraction and fragile ecosystems.
