Future Legacies is an online platform bringing together a community of Black artists, thinkers and creatives. Through their art, writings, conversations and more they explore the ‘Black Atlantic’—Black cultural identity, expression and resistance in response to legacies of empire, colonialism and the trade of enslaved people.
Commissioned by the Fitzwilliam Museum, Future Legacies is an ongoing project in response to our exhibitions, ‘Black Atlantic: Power, People, Resistance’ (Sept 23 – Jan 24) and ‘Rise Up: Resistance, Revolution, Abolition’ (2025).
