The Discovery Bags support visits by young people across the University of Cambridge Museums with a particular aim of discovering things for themselves. With this in mind we have created Discovery Bags which can be borrowed by visiting groups to any of the University of Cambridge Museums.

In Spring 2014 Museum Ambassadors from North Cambridge Academy worked with film makers from Cambridge film Consortium to create this short film about the Fitzwilliam Museum.
Culture Street Fitzwilliam Museum Films
In the autumn of 2014 Culture Street came to film some year 9 pupils from North Cambridge Academy in Cambridge visiting the galleries of the Fitzwilliam Museum and also taking part in two workshops. You can see the films here , or on the Culture Street website:

Pharos includes the interactive Making Art, a separate website designed to guide the visitor through the extensive collections of The Fitzwilliam Museum. It offers an insight into how a selection of objects, including a bronze sculpture, a 15th century panel painting, a Japanese print and a medieval manuscript, were made.
