INSPIRE2020 (December 2019- March 2020) was the first exhibition of work made by primary school children in the Octagon Gallery at The Fitzwilliam Museum. The exhibition provided an exciting opportunity to celebrate the amazing creativity of local schools and teachers at a time when there were growing concerns that the arts are being squeezed out of the curriculum.

Modelled on the National Gallery, London’s, Take One Picture, the project focuses on one painting, Cupid and Psyche by Jacopo del Sellaio, as a source of ideas and inspiration for further creative and cross-curricular enquiry.

INSPIRE2020 is a partnership project with AccessArt.
