This exhibition looks into shops and shopping in London during the second half of the eighteenth century, inspired by the Fitzwilliam Museum's collection of trade bills that were issued to a single family living on Golden Square in the City of Westminster.

This section looks at a small selection of some of the most interesting trade cards and bills to explore different aspects of the lives of business owners in London during the period between 1765-1785.

To view all the bills and trade cards from this collection held at the Fitzwilliam Museum, go to the Gallery page.
