Engage, Learn, Achieve: The impact of museum visits on the attainment of secondary pupils in the east of England 2006-2007

The Fitzwilliam Museum is one of five museums visited in this research carried out by the University of Leicester which looked at the impact on attainment levels of a visit by a child to a museum or art gallery. Jointly commissioned by the Hub and MLA East of England the report demonstrates that over 50% of the children in the study (over 700 pupils) experienced a rise in their marks following a visit to a museum or art gallery.
