Art in Action Video Case Study
This Transition project works with pupils in their last term of primary school helping them to prepare for their move to secondary school in the Autumn term.
The Fitzwilliam Museum is one of five museums visited in this research carried out by the University of Leicester which looked at the impact on attainment levels of a visit by a child to a museum or art gallery. Jointly commissioned by the Hub and MLA East of England the report demonstrates that over 50% of the children in the study (over 700 pupils) experienced a rise in their marks following a visit to a museum or art gallery.
