Air Force Cross, 1919

The Air Force Cross was instituted in 1918 for award to officers and warrant officers of the new Royal Air Force for courage and devotion to duty while not in active operations against the enemy.
This medal was awarded to Lieutenant A. J. D. Peebles, RAF, and its award is noted in the London Gazette for the 3rd June 1919. Lester Watson purchased the medal from the London dealer Baldwin at some point before 1928.
