Security Assistant - Full Time - £19,730 - £22,659

The Fitzwilliam Museum is the principal museum of the University of Cambridge with designated collections of international importance, a staff of c.200 FTE, and a volunteer workforce of 100+. The Fitzwilliam is also the largest cultural venue in the region, welcoming some 400,000 visitors a year to its permanent galleries, temporary exhibitions and wide-ranging public engagement programme. The Museum has over half a million works of art and antiquities spanning centuries and displays them in 23 galleries.

The Fitzwilliam Museum houses the principal collections of art and antiquities of the University of Cambridge, and holds over half a million objects in its care. The Department of Manuscripts and Printed Books (MSSPB) preserves one of the finest collections of illuminated manuscripts in the world, dating from the tenth to the sixteenth century.
