Lost: opera in the Fitz
This unique opera takes the audience on a thrilling journey through the galleries of the Fitzwilliam Museum, guided by the performers as the story unfolds along the way.
When you walk into a museum, the last thing you expect is to be confronted by your own forgotten history. For the Shepherd family, the unexpected comes true. After entering the Fitzwilliam in search of their misbehaving son, they soon realise they are searching for much more than him. Sometimes touching, often funny, Toby Young and Katy Austin's accessible new opera shows how our past is always waiting to surprise us; and that we often lose sight of the things and people which are closest to us.
Performances will begin every 20 minutes so please book a ticket for the specific performance time you would like to attend. Groups will be met in the indoor courtyard area for the start of their performance and will be led around the museum by the performers themselves.
Please note: Suitable for ages 12+. Lost will be performed in numerous galleries throughout the museum. Patrons who may require assistance or have special access requirements are asked to contact Ruth Hardie on 01223 768927 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss requirements before booking.
