Gallery 10 (Octagon) – Exhibitions

Octagon Gallery
Octagon Gallery 1931

The Octagon Room was built in the 1930s as part of the Smith & Brewer extension to the Museum.

The space has a central octagonal dome, and it features the architects’ innovative top side-lighting system. Once used to display the permanent collection, this small gallery is now used for temporary exhibitions, particularly sculpture and other three dimensional works.
