Friends Committee


 

Margaret Mair – Chairman

Margaret joined the committee in 2008 and became chairman in July 2009.


Penny Cleobury – Secretary

Penny works in the Friends’ Office in Trumpington Street from where she deals with subscriptions, event bookings and other day to day membership issues.


Sarah Bradfield – Visits and Tours

Sarah joined the Friends Committee in 2010 and works closely with Jane in organising the visits and tours.


Kate Carreno – Museum Representative

Kate works at the Fitzwilliam Museum as Assistant Director, Central Services, and supports the Friends Committee as the Museum Representative.


Nick Chrimes – Cambridge and College Visits

Responsible for the locally based tours around Cambridge, and is a Blue Badge guide.


Jane Dix – Visits and Tours

Organises tours to Museums and Stately Homes that are further afield and usually involve a coach journey!


Marr Grieve – Friends’ Volunteers

Since 2006 Marr has organised the Friends who volunteer for duties in the Museum and arranges some of the Friends ‘in house’ Museum activities.


Gilly Harrison – Cambridge and College Visits

Gilly works with Nick to organise the very popular local Cambridge tours.


John Pegler – Treasurer

Treasurer of the Friends’ Committee since early 2009 and Treasurer of the Fitzwilliam Development Trust since 2005.


Sue Rasmussen – University Liaison and Social Events

Sue has been responsible for conceiving and arranging the very successful lunchtime talks, given by PhD students from the History of Art Department.


Monica Thomas – Newsletter and Mailings

Monica’s main responsibility on the committee is to compile and edit the Friends’ Newsletter as well as organising volunteers to assist with the mailing to Friends.


Cazzy Walshe - Social Events, Website and Membership

Joined the Committee in 2010 and is responsible for parties, promoting membership and liaising with the museum on the Friends’ area of the website.
