Endless Forms: get involved online

Submit your photographs to the Endless Forms group on Flickr, which now has nearly 300 images, or take part in the 'Evolve' online book group - this month, the reading list recommends Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World and The Inheritors by William Golding. Keen artists can also participate in the 'Entangled Bank' drawing challenge.

ENJOY THE SUNSHINE IN THE FITZWILLIAM MUSEUM GROUNDS


Enjoy the summer weather in the Museum's grounds this month, with a visit to the Sculpture Promenade and the North Lawn Café.

Take a trip around the Sculpture Promenade to see a selection of recent work by members of the prestigious Royal British Society of Sculptors, followed by a drink or a bite to eat in the open-air Café situated on the Museum's North Lawn. For a limited time only, visitors can buy a salad and a bottle of locally-supplied Breckland Orchard fruit juice to enjoy al-fresco for only £5.95.

Making Sense of Darwin

Join us for this informal, multi-sensory exploration of an aspect of Endless Forms. This session is accessible for people who are blind or partially-sighted.

Please note: access restriction due to refurbishment

To enable the refurbishment of the Greek and Roman gallery to progress, there will be no disabled access to the Ancient Near East, Rome and Ancient Sudan and the Egyptian Galleries (Rooms 19, 20, 23 and 24) between Tuesday 28 July and Sunday 9 August inclusive. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
