Fitzwilliam joins national scheme to help budding artists
The Fitzwilliam Museum has become one of the national partners of Outside In, an organisation helping artists who find it difficult to access the art world due to health, disability or social circumstance.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dr Mark Blackburn (1953-2011), Keeper of Coins and Medals in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, Reader in Numismatics and Monetary History in the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at the University of Cambridge, and Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He died peacefully at home on 1 September after a long struggle against cancer.
