Experienced Cleaner (Full Time) - £13, 621 - £15,054

Fixed term until 31 July 2014

The Fitzwilliam Museum houses the art collection of the University of Cambridge and receives over 400,000 visitors a year.

This is a full time, fixed term role working a five day 36.5 hr week Monday - Sunday.

You will work as part of a team of cleaners that provides cleaning to a very high standard and have responsibility for the day to day cleaning throughout the Museum. This will include the cleaning of toilets and washrooms in both visitor and staff areas, offices, corridors, floors, stairways and some outside work.

You will be able to offer relevant, recent experience of cleaning in a similar public venue.

No formal qualifications are required although NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning & Support Services would be advantageous. You should have a good level of oral communication and a good standard of English enabling you to understand and follow written and verbal instructions including security and safety instructions regarding both the use of cleaning materials and the Fitzwilliam Museum buildings.

Offers of employment will be conditional upon the satisfactory outcome of a Disclosure Scotland Security check. Whether an outcome is satisfactory will be determined by the University.
