Chief Building Services Technician (Heating, Plumbing and HVAC Engineer)
A full time Chief Building Services Technician is required with a broad range of mechanical skills predominantly covering heating, ventilation and general building services.
Candidates considered for interview will have completed an acceptable period of training. Duties will involve tracing faults, completion of repairs and service inspections. Applicants must possess good practical fabrication, pipe fitting, plumbing and welding skills and be capable of using a broad range of workshop machines. The post calls for someone with a good working knowledge of mechanical services, including the installation of heating and hot/cold water systems, and the ability to troubleshoot on-site problems and work on emergency breakdowns.
A recognised trade apprenticeship and qualifications to City and Guilds, BTEC or NVQ certificate in a mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent is required. Vocational training courses in fabrication and welding, Gas Safe/OFTEC or steam raising and distribution would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check.
