Jan de Wael (1558-1633)
Etching by Anthony Van Dyck and engraving by an unknown printmaker, sixth state (of six)
As with the later state of Jan Brueghel the lines of this late state of this print appear heavier, and the print loses the overall delicate touch. An unknown printmaker has added engraved lines to the clothing, to regularize their appearance.
