Roman bronze tetradrachm from Egypt, in the name of Nero, 64-5

This bronze tetradrachm was struck in Alexandria in Egypt. It was minted between 64 and 65 AD during the reign of the Emperor Nero (54-68). The obverse shows a bust of Nero with a radiate crown and aegis, with the inscription 'NERO KLAV KAS SEB GER', a Hellenicised version of Nero's name and titles, Nero Claudius Cæsar, Augustus (Sebastos) Germanicus. The reverse depicts an eagle standing with a palm branch and the inscription 'AVTOKRA', 'autocrat' or 'ruler'.
