Roman copper follis in the name of Fausta, 326-7

This bronze follis is from the Roman city of Cyzicus, now in modern day Turkey. It was minted in the year 326-7 during the reign of the Emperor Constantine (303-37) and issued in the name of his wife Fausta. The obverse shows a head of Fausta with waved hair and the inscription 'FLAV MAX FAVSTA AVG'. The reverse shows her standing with two children in her arms together with the inscription 'SPES REIPVBLICAE', 'Hope of the State'.
