Ottoman gold ½ altin, of Mahmud II, from Istanbul, 1808-39

This ½ altin from the Ottoman Empire was minted in Istanbul at some point during the reign of Sultan Mahmud II (1808-39). The obverse shows Mahmud's royal cipher or tughra, the reverse the place and date of issue.
