Description
Group 2: 1914-15 Star, Distinguished Conduct Medal, Victoria Cross The circumstances of award and the history of the individual medals are discussed in their own entries, q.v. The group is mounted on a brass bar slid between the ribbons, with a pin at the back across all three ribbons to hold them in place. As the individual histories make clear, these were the medals of Sergeant Edward J. Mott, of the 1st Battalion Border Regiment. Lester Watson purchased the group from the London dealers Baldwin at some point before 1928.
