Plain incised-sgraffito ware dish

Early 13th century

Lent by the Leventis Municipal Museum of Nicosia, B/2003/022

The three marks of the tripod, used to keep the pots separate during the second firing, are clearly visible on the plain surface of this dish. The only decoration is a triangular shield, scored through the slip into the underlying clay below.
