110. A cure for stones from the papers of Thomas Palmer (MS4203-2000)
Recipe for the Stone
A large handful of the fibres of garden leeks, put thereto two quarts of soft water, let them be close covered, and simmer gently over the fire, till reduced to one; pour it off and drink a pint in the course of the day, divided morning, noon, and night.
NB. This has cured a stone which was in the bladder at the birth of the patient in eleven weeks.
