Description:
Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silks and silver metal thread in chain, cross, double running, knot, satin, trellis and lace filling stitches. The sampler comprises 22 horizontal bands. At the top, above a wide band of geometric patterns, is an incomplete and a complete alphabet, the date "1679" and some random letters or pairs of initials. The remaining bands are of horizontal repeat patterns including one of " Boxers"
