Description:
Yellow linen band sampler embroidered with linen thread in hem, counted satin, double running, eyelet and overcast stitch with small cut-work panels of needlepoint lace filling stitches. There is a plain selvedge at the bottom; the other three edges are hemmed. The pattern consists of mainly repeating geometric border patterns. There are two alphabets, numerals 1-9, small detached motifs with at the bottom the inscription ' DB 1663' and a small panel of cutwork.
