Description:
Ivory, pierced, carved, painted in bodycolour, silvered and gilt.(24+2) Cream kid ribbon. Steel rivet with mother-of-pearl washers.
Front: In the middle, a circular medallion painted with a European riverside landscape enclosed by an engraved gold frame with a silver suspension loop and bow at the top. The rest of the fan is pierced by fine longtitudinal striations and carved below the ribbon with two oval, two smaller circular and two lozenge-shaped medallions of Chinese scenes amid scrolling flowers and foliage. Above the ribbon there are small panels containing fruit, flowers, birds, butterflies and landscapes and figures.
Reverse: In the middle, a painted arrangement of flowers within a blue wreath.
Guards: Carved with buildings in a landscape.
