Description:
Linen band sampler embroidered with polychrome silks in cross, long-armed cross, double running, threaded running stitch and various over cast drawn thread stitches. The sides are hemmed and there is a selvedge at the top and a raw edge at the bottom. The sampler is organised in horizontal bands containing stylized floral and geometric patterns and in the top band the inscription 'DENOB. e DE 48/LOA. CABOEN 24/ GELITAFLORES/ DEMANO DEAN.' worked out.
