Frequently Asked Questions
The nature of the Internet means that Egyptologists who maintain a relatively high presence on it are likely to find themselves being asked lots of questions about Egypt. As we all have other jobs to do it can take up a considerable amount of time, which means that certain repetitive enquiries can take a long time to respond to.
To try and do something about this, in July 2001 I started this FAQ in the hope that some of the more common enquiries can be answered by reference to this page. I have asked for the support of colleagues, and I hope that the number of items here will gradually grow. Anyone who wishes to offer a topic here should contact me.
