It has not been established that the coin Of Burgred exhibited to a meeting of the Society of Antiquaries on 28 April 1725 derived from the grave find of 10 October 1724 cited by Metcalf (1958, 76), and there is no evidence that the "several Saxon coins" found in Barking in the early 18th cent. were found together.
