British Numismatic Journal
The British Numismatic Journal (BNJ) is the Society's principal publication, and usually contains more than 200 pages of numismatic articles and notes, obituaries, reviews of new publications and an annual register of single coin finds (an invaluable research tool), together with supporting photographic plates. It also records details of the Society's main transactions, and periodically contains a list of members. The journal is produced in hard-back form, and a copy is sent free to all members of the Society whose subscriptions are not in arrears. It is usually published around the turn of the year.
The British Numismatic Journal is distributed for the Society by Spink. Any Members who are willing to collect their copy in person to save the Society postage costs should let the Membership Secretary know. Those who have agreed to do so should collect them from Spink's Book Department (69 Southampton Row, London WC1B 4ET, Monday-Friday 9.30 am-5.30 pm ) before the end of February. Any queries concerning the purchase of back-numbers of the British Numismatic Journal, the collection of volumes after the end of January, or regarding delivery problems should be directed to Spink (tel. 020 7563 4046).
Currently, back-numbers of the BNJ are available for most years from 1969 onwards, and there are also a few earlier issues. A list of the available volumes, with details of the principal articles in each journal can be found here:

Index of BNJ Contents
A concise index of the contents of all BNJs between 1903/4 and 1996 was published by the Society in 1998. This was updated to 1999 and re-published in 2001. These versions of the index are now out of print, but as of 2009 a version of the index updated to 2008 is available on-line. It includes principal contributions, short articles and notes.
