Fragment of an Athenian inscription
The inscribed fragment is part of the record of an agreement between Athens and Halieis, a city in the eastern Peloponnese. One of the officials mentioned is Laches, possibly the Athenian general of that name who is reported to have died in the battle of Mantineia in 418/17 BC.
