Outreach Egypt

This section of the website aims to make the Egyptian and Nubian collections available to wider audiences. ‘Outreach Egypt’ will provide Podcasts of community workshops, virtual exhibitions, a virtual version of the recently refurbished Egyptian galleries, and resources for accessing the Museum’s Egyptian collections from an African perspective.

These resources have been developed as part of a two-year project entitled ‘working with prisons’ and aim to provide access for those currently unable to visit the museum, or wishing to obtain further information about Egyptian and Nubian cultures.

This project is funded by:
The AHRC Knowledge Transfer Fellowship Scheme
The Getty Trust
The Heritage Lottery
The Lankelly Chase Trust
Renaissance East of England

The resources will be made available as they are completed.
