Description

round topped, man taking last farewell (other person embraced may be male or female), Carian. Carian is in southwest Turkey. The stela had been reused to form the lining of a votive pit. The two men are dressed in Greek-style clothes. Above is a traditional Egyptian motif, the winged sun disk. The inscription is in Carian Greek.
