Name | |
Description | head of Sensuret/Senwosret III, fragment. |
Production Notes | The statue shows the so-called realistic type of portrait common in Dynasty 12. It is thought that the features were deliberately aged in order to show the difficulties faced by the king in Egypt during this period. It has also been suggested that the features are African. |
