Visiting the Department
Visitors are welcome to study objects from the collections in the Department by appointment. Prospective visitors should write, e-mail or telephone to the appropriate curator, stating the material they wish to study. Please enquire well in advance of the date of your proposed visit, as it may not be possible to make an appointment at short notice. We regret that appointments cannot be made for a Saturday or Sunday.
The Department's staff take classes for the University of Cambridge, and arrangements can be made for other groups to study the reserve collections in the Applied Arts Seminar Room (maximum 16 persons). Organisers should contact the Keeper (European Collections), Honorary Keeper of Textiles, or Assistant Keeper (Oriental Collections).
