Accounts Clerk (Full Time) - £18,185 - £20,972
The Fitzwilliam Museum is a complex organisation with a diverse set of financial arrangements. This role enables the very detailed work necessary for the smooth financial operation of the organization to be carried out by the payment of 2000 plus supplier invoices per year.
Duties will include a range of accounting activities to support and assist the Chief Accounts Clerk to carry out all processes required by the Fitzwilliam Museum and the University of Cambridge in accordance with financial procedures. Relevant, recent experience in a busy accounts office e.g. transaction processing and working as part of an accounts team is essential.
Candidates should be educated to at least ‘A’ level standard with good communication skills, be adaptable, highly motivated and conscientious. Competence in standard IT software packages eg Word, Excel is required as is the ability to organise and prioritise workloads as the post is not continuously supervised.
